abstract:
The present paper describes four theoretical frameworks in human syntactic parsing research that represent mi-lestones in the evolution of comprehension studies. The aim of this concise overview is to highlight certain ten-dencies of change that define the future of comprehension and parsing research; and also, to report about novel directions that may take over the place of the earlier dominant models.
